We set out to create a holiday campaign that would showcase Fix & Flow’s services in a way that felt memorable, inspired, and genuinely enjoyable for Atlanta homeowners.
The Vision: A Wink of the Eye
In late 2023, we wanted to move beyond the standard “Happy Holidays” social post for our long-time client, Fix & Flow Plumbing Co. Inspired by the nostalgic charm of 1960s Rankin/Bass stop-motion classics like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, we set out to create a digital experience that felt warm and familiar—while genuinely reinforcing Fix & Flow’s reputation for premium service and craftsmanship.From Childhood Memories to Creative Copy
The idea took shape through a personal lens. Drawing on a family tradition of holiday scavenger hunt clues written in the meter of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, we penned an original poem designed to entertain and inform.
The script wove Fix & Flow’s key services directly into the narrative, touching on everything from tankless water heaters and whole-home filtration to toilet upgrades and emergency burst pipe repairs. The result was copy that felt festive and fun, without reading like a sales pitch.
The Execution: Where AI Meets Artistry
To bring the storybook vision to life on a compressed holiday timeline, we used a hybrid creative workflow that blended emerging tools with hands-on craft:
- Visuals: We used ChatGPT (DALL-E 3) to generate images created in a whimsical 1960s stop-motion aesthetic.
- Voiceover: A warm, British-accented narration produced using ElevenLabs grounded the whimsy with a sense of classic storytelling.
- Post-Production: In Adobe Premiere, static scenes were transformed into a living storybook using snowflake transitions, bold in-video captions for accessibility, and subtle animations like rising steam and twinkling lights.
- Omnichannel Reach: The campaign extended beyond video with a matching holiday email for clients and postcard mailed to over 6,000 Atlanta households, featuring a QR code that connected physical mailboxes to the digital experience
The Results: Engagement That Defied the Skip Button
By producing both a full-length version (1:33) and a short cut (0:40), the campaign delivered standout engagement across YouTube and social platforms—proving that thoughtful storytelling still earns attention.

- Story-First Retention: Average viewing reached the end of the narrated story, with viewers typically exiting only after the final branded outro.
- Captive Audience: 38% of viewers watched the entire story.
- The Big Screen Effect: Over 70% of watch time occurred on TV screens, indicating intentional, lean-back viewing rather than passive scrolling

- Viral Efficiency: Nearly full retention across almost 14,000 views
- Completion Power: 65% of viewers watched the video from start to finish.
